It depends on a lot of different factors, for instance, we look at factors such as the size of the property we are surveying, what type of surveying work you need, when was the property last surveyed. How long does it take to get a survey completed?

Most surveys can be completed and drawn within 5 business days. In special cases we can expedite the project and have a finished product within 24 to 48 hours.

When do I need a survey?

When to have your property survey depends of different factors.  If you are thinking about purchasing a piece of property (with or without a home), it’s vital that you as a possible future property owner know exactly what you are buying.  Many times property corners and lines are very difficult to find without the right education and equipment.  Sometimes there could be limitations pertaining to the property that would not allow you to use the property as you wished, for example there could be a right of way or easement going through the property for a future roadway or utility lines that would be shown on the you survey map.

Any time that you are thinking of constructing improvements (i.e. fences, decks, pools, etc.) it’s important to know that what you are building is on your property.

Maybe you and your neighbor are in disagreement on where your common property line is located, this would be a good time to call a surveyor.

What do I need to give my mortgage company so they can determine if I need to pay flood insurance?

A FEMA flood elevation certificate is what you give to your mortgage company. This federal document is the last word in determining if you are in a flood hazard area or not.
